Hello all!  So, 2020, amirite?

Jokes aside it's been one hell of an unpleasant year and I had to put a stop to game dev for quite a while.  Recently I finally found inspiration again, and I have a brand spankin' new version of ] [ to give you as a result!

This is slightly an interim update prepping it for rapid playtesting at an upcoming event.  A lot has been added, but you'll notice several missing features, too.  Most of those features I plan to re-add at a later date.  Until then, I hope you enjoy this new version!  It was a lot of fun to revisit and revise, even when I did decide that everything needed to be two font points smaller.

Playbooks

• All Playbooks: Layout has been overhauled.
• All Playbooks: Background character creation questions (“Origins”) have been added.
• All Playbooks: Bonds have been renamed to Sync.
• All Playbooks: Starting Sync questions have been reduced to 2 per playbook. All but one question is totally new.
• All Playbooks: An Experience track has been added. Things that used to give advancements now give Experience, and Sync to individual worlds how generates larger amounts of Experience (See Basic Moves).
• All Playbooks: Darkest Self prompts were reworded slightly for uniformity.
• All Playbooks: Nexus questions were removed pending an update that fleshes out Nexus mechanics better.
• The Hero: A new move, Hero of Legend, has been added.
• The Slayer: A new move, My Only Real Friend, has been added.
• The Prodigy: The Redemption track has been temporarily removed while I work on making it not entirely placeholders.
• The Damsel: A new move, Negotiator, has been added.
• The Hermit: A new move, Have I Ever Told You…, has been added.
• The Oaf: The Hero’s Journey has been removed as it does not forward the playbook mechanically or narratively. I’m saving the track for a future playbook idea.
• The Eldritch: Two new moves, One-Winged Angel and You Rang?, have been added.

Basic Moves

• Several changes to layout have been made.
• Unleash the Darkness had the World Darkness option removed, and had two purely fictional options added.
• The Advancement heading has been removed following the addition of an Experience track.
• Sync has its own heading, including a new move that uses World Sync.
• A heading on Destiny has been added.
